Rouke is a dynamic 11 year old Ster Friesian gelding. He was hand picked by Lorick Stables and imported from the Netherlands as a three year old. In that same calendar year he also made Ster. He has been a personal favorite of the owners for the last seven years.

Rouke would be a good match for an intermediate rider. He is willing to please and is always loving. Over the years this beautiful Friesian gelding has been ridden on and off for pleasure, and has even driven in a single horse carriage. Rouke started being ridden daily by our dressage staff in the fall of 2006. As is evident in his snapshots, he has picture perfect conformation that is complemented by a lovely stride. He is currently confirmed in Training Level Dressage, and has gained some experience at local shows during the 2007 show season. He also is working lateral work during his training sessions. He works equally well both inside the arena and outside. Rouke, along with our mare Zeva, represented the Friesian breed at the 2007 World Horse Expo in Syracuse, NY. He did great both in performance and attitude in this overwhelming forum. His excellence in movement and breed standards won quite a few fans for the Friesians as a whole!
